The Not-So-Romantic Podcast is my brand new (how long can you say brand new for?) venture into the podcasting world. Each podcast takes a look at the Not-So-Romantic topics from history and whatever else takes my fancy.
The podcast focusses on things like, weird medieval events, not-so-romantic people, animals, the worst jobs in history and similar topics – basically the not-so-romantic side of history and other subjects, written and designed for the whole family to enjoy listening to!

why a podcast?
Oh, you’re still here? Okay then.
Of course, the big problem is why a podcast? Especially when 50% of the worlds population seems to have one.
I wanted to make a podcast for several reasons.
- I want to make learning fun for everyone and want to show that history goes way beyond what is learnt in school
- To encourage people to be constantly curious
- I enjoy researching weird and wonderful topics from history
- And finally, I enjoy the sound of my own voice (this is obviously a joke)
